When you choose to tan with us, you can be safe in the knowledge that all of our beds are fitted with Hybrid 0.3 EU safe tan compliant, Tanning Lamps. These lamps are as hot as the Mediterranean Sun but will prevent burning when used responsibly under our guidance.
Not only do our lamps provide maximum tanning results but they are also highly effective for clients with medical conditions such as Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Fibromyalgia & Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Good health and wellbeing is very important to us here at The Sun Rooms and achieving the “perfect tan” does not mean you need to make sacrifices on your health.
Our staff are fully trained to provide skin consultations with all new clients, enabling us to assist you with the correct guidance for your skin type.
We operate a Challenge 21 policy, where you will be asked for ID before using our beds. Our staff are acting in guidance of the law & therefore we will not tolerate any abuse from anyone that is asked to produce ID at anytime. You have to be 18 or above to legally use a sunbed.
We are real advocates of responsible tanning and are proud to be members of The Sunbed Association, the UKs leading association for the industry.
With guidance from TSA we are able to train our staff and keep up to date on all new legislation do that we can provide the best tanning experience for our clients.
Know your skin type – Our staff are trained to provide each customer with a free skin consultation which will help us to determine your skin type and whether or not you are suitable for sunbed use.
This will also help us to build your tailor-made tanning regime which will tell you how long a session you should start with and when it would be safe to build on that time.
Don't expose yourself to UV if you have medical conditions - Check any other reasons why you shouldn’t tan or may need to reduce your time .
Please inform a member of staff if you think you may be pregnant, taking any medication or suffering from any skin pigmentations or complaints such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or vitiligo prior to use.
Session time – Always consult a member of staff before increasing your minutes.
Increasing to a longer session won’t automatically lead to better results. In fact, increasing your time too soon, may lead to burning which is unhealthy tanning.
Rest days – Just like at the gym, when following a good tanning regime you need rest days.
We strongly recommend leaving a minimum of 24 hours between each tanning session to allow your skin time to regenerate.
Only use a specially formulated indoor tanning lotion – These lotions are specifically designed to boost your tanning results.
Our lotions contain Melanin boosters. These boosters stimulate the natural production of melanin in your skin, resulting in faster and deeper results.
Standard everyday Moisturisers, Oils & SPF lotions are not effective when used on a Sunbed and are banned from use within our salon.
Protect your eyes – We provide free eye protection for you for a reason.
Closing your eyes is not enough and you risk UV damage to your eyes if you do not wear suitable protection.
